Her diverse career and interests have spanned across genres and disciplines ranging from vocal jazz to heavy metal; synesthesia to acoustic principles; queer advocacy to gender-affirming voice care.
Her first book, One Weird Trick: A User’s Guide to Transgender Voices is used across the globe as a teaching tool for individuals, practitioners, and academic institutions. Together with co-author Brian Kremer, The Singing Teacher’s Guide to Transgender Voices (2nd ed 2026) delves into the cultural and technical foundations of gender-inclusive and affirming pedagogy.
