The Voice Lab's Studio Policies

The following are agreements between The Voice Lab and our students. We strive to create a balance of agency and flexibility for students and teachers that maintains all of our humanity and makes sure we can keep the business open. We are so grateful for your patronage!
1. Lesson Schedule

a. Recurring Lessons
When you sign up for lessons, your weekly lesson spot is reserved for you at the same day and time every week.

b. Standby Status
Students who wish to schedule one lesson at a time can opt into “Standby Status.” Standby students can schedule a lesson no fewer than two days and no more than three weeks in advance, and payment is due at the time the lesson is scheduled. Discounts are not available for drop-in lessons.

2. Lesson Cancellation

Lessons canceled with less than 24-hour notice, for any reason, will result in full lesson credit forfeiture.

  • For lessons canceled with more than 24 hours’ notice, the lesson credit remains on the account. The same applies if an instructor cancels a lesson, or if The Voice Lab is closed during a break or holiday.
  • Lessons can be canceled through the WellnessLiving platform. Informing the instructor of an upcoming absence will not effectively cancel a lesson.
  • If the student is late to an appointment, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
3. Lesson fees
a. Pay-per-lesson
  • Pay-Per-Lesson fees are $85 each.
  • Lesson fees are auto-charged at the completion of each lesson for the next upcoming appointment.
  • For lessons canceled with MORE than 24-hour notice, the lesson credit remains on the account for future use.
  • There is no price difference between 45-minute lessons or 60-minute lessons.
b. Monthly lesson payments
  • Monthly lesson payments are $300 per month.
  • Monthly lesson fees auto-charge on the 25th of each month, for the upcoming calendar month’s lessons.
  • Each calendar month, 5 lesson credits are added to the account and automatically applied to scheduled appointments.
  • Any unused lesson credits expire at the end of each calendar month.

The Voice Lab reserves the right to update lesson fees at any time.

4. Payment Information

a. Billing schedule

Lesson fees are auto-charged at the completion of each lesson for the next upcoming lesson.
Monthly lesson payments auto-charge on the 25th of each month, for the upcoming calendar month’s lessons. Lesson credits expire at the end of each calendar month.

b. Credit card on file

All customers of The Voice Lab are required to keep a credit card on file that will be automatically charged for lesson fees. Updates to the credit card on file must be completed through the student’s WellnessLiving account, and may take up to 5 days to be reflected in the billing cycle.

c. Ending your time at TVL

  • You may cancel all upcoming lessons at any time, for any reason. We hope that it will be because you are fully loving your voice and ready to fly the nest, but we also understand that other circumstances may arise.
  • Contact our admin team at schedule@thevoicelabinc.com and they will help with reconciling any unpaid lessons and ensuring account accuracy for lesson credits remaining on your account.
5. Technology

Students who choose to take online lessons are responsible for their own access to adequate internet, video, and audio for lessons. If a lesson is missed or the lesson is not viable due to technical challenges on the student’s end, the lesson credit may be forfeited. In the event of a technical failure on the part of The Voice Lab, the lesson credit will remain on the student’s account.
